Christian Guidelines has been offering counselling to people for over 13 years
The counselling team at Christian Guidelines are a group of
people who volunteer to provide a professional service while
living out their Christian faith. They comprise of people from a variety of backgrounds, different denominations, yet they have one thing in common – they all are passionate about their relationship with God and how that is worked out in their everyday lives..
How can we help?
Life’s increasing pressures, hurts from the past, relationship difficulties and so much more, lead many to seek help at some point in their lives. Our team of experienced counsellors provide help in the following, and other areas: |
|
- Marriage/Relationships & Family Matters
- Abuse - Physical, emotional, mental, sexual
- Stress
|
- Low Self Esteem
- Grief & Loss
- Faith & Ministry Matters
|
What normally happens?
An assessment form is sent out to all who request counselling. This gives us an opportunity to assess if we are the most suitable counselling agency to help with the issue. It also enables us to allocate the most appropriate counsellor for the situation.
The counselling session normally lasts around one hour and people will be seen on a regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis dependant on their particular circumstances. Some people come for 3 - 6 sessions while others may require much longer to work things through.
The counsellor assigned will normally be in touch within 7- 10 days of the assessment form being returned to our office. All of this is carried out in a very discrete and confidential manner.
Most people are seen in the safe and supportive environment of the Christian Guidelines premises in Bangor, Co Down although we do have limited counselling available in other locations.
We operate an appointment system and our normal consultation hours are Monday - Friday 9.30 am – 5 pm (inclusive). As our counsellors often travel long distances to our premises early notification to the office of cancellation is essential – preferably 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
You will be asked to sign an agreement explaining the terms and conditions of our counselling.
If you would like an Assessment Form please contact us by phone on 028 9146 8846
